Weight loss medications in South West London

The practice has received a number of enquires from patients lately regarding weight loss medications such as Mounjaro®.

Mounjaro® is likely to become available in the UK as part of a controlled and phased launch of the medication for weight loss from July 2025, to allow the NHS time to ensure support for patients is in place.

While we are awaiting the NICE guidance, SWL ICB has been working closely with NHS England, primary care, and local specialist weight management clinicians to consider options to support the rollout of Mounjaro®.

We appreciate that adults living with overweight and obesity are urgently seeking clarity on when and how they can access this treatment.
